Samui masterplan

After decades of tourism boom on Koh Samui, Many chained-brand hotels has emerged all over the island, followed by a Thai chain department store sits at the center of Chaweng area. This project is next to this mall, sharing the narrow high street of Chaweng, however this property can also access from the quiet lakefront promenade on the west side.

The design proposal attempts to link two roads on the east and west together, bringing the flow of people to the property and also ventilating the traffic of the busy Chaweng’s high street. With an extensive research of site, context, local economic and feasibility study, this project will be a mixed-used development that transform the last plot of Chaweng center into a ‘green urban space’ with the magnificent double view of the famous beach and lake.
